Education: Deano received his bachelor’s degrees in physics and astrophysics from the University of Minnesota before attending the University of California Irvine for a PhD in physics. 

Research Interests: Deano's PhD research involved ultrafast laser physics and he is currently interested in developing new nonlinear microscopy technology for biomedical research
